Relationship
Building the farm market community with each other is not only important to each vendor, but it’s important to the consumer also. People coming together is an important part for the growing local food scene.
You may not approve of another vendors business model but continuing verbalization of this to other vendors or patrons will not be tolerated. We do request that you respect each other and keep gossip to a minimum. Gossip/drama will not be tolerated and the offending vendor will be removed from the market either temporarily or permanently. If you have a concern about a businesses miss representation of themselves please bring it to the Market Master’s attention so it can be properly addressed (see Rules #11)
Atmosphere
The community comes to the market for the social experience and social interaction with this mobile food community. Building market relationships with multiple vendors and consumers over the weeks, months and years.
It is up to each vendor that the consumer leaves with a positive impression of the market and have an enjoyable experience. The consumer needs to continue to see the market as a whole and a valuable place for them to continue to shop.
Be a good Neighbor
Help each other put up tents & unload during the summer or to bring in products during the indoor season.
Watch each others tents/tables if someone needs to use the restroom or to shop for their family.
Don’t over crowd and keep your operations within the space you’ve paid for. If you don’t know how much space you have to work with, ask the market master, they’ll be glad to assist you.
All vendors are trying to sell and make money. The bigger picture is that you need to cooperate to build the local food economy. There, everyone needs to cooperate, no one can do it alone, it takes a large market to draw the larger crowds
It doesn’t do anyone any good to undercut another vendor, everyone makes less money. You are here to support and be apart of a better food fabric of our community
