As a member of the integrity local food model, Hufford Family Dairy is well aware that at times the greatest hindrance to this local movement is its main ingredient - integrity. Only by maintaining solid grounding principles can we continue to do good in its surrounding community. It is our vision that smaller specialized farms will continue to fill the needs of a small but growing segment of the population that value knowing exactly where and how their food is grown and preserved.
Laban’s Great Grandfather, Delbert Coning, then a local school teacher, purchased his farm in 1935. He operated it as the typical grain, forage and livestock farm. The farm has been passed down to the 3rd generation Laban’s parents, offering grad A milk production.
