Teajutsu

Look how she’s grown! This was just a few years ago.

It all started when…

A gusty breath of wind blows into the Ft. Wayne Farmers Market and customers flock to Teajutsu while Michelle Lusch, the owner, and her partner perch behind her table of loose leaf teas. Customers looking for something warm to brew at home are not left wanting. Here, there is a flavor for everyone, no matter your taste preferences. “Even though our teas can be enjoyed year-round, either hot or iced, the indoor market season seems to bring an influx of interest in our products,” says Michelle. “So customers can expect to find all sorts of fall and winter flavors such as apple, pumpkin, mint and spice... just to name a few!”

“When Teajutsu was just getting off the ground, we liked what FWFM had to offer,” Michelle says about the six years that they’ve been with the Ft. Wayne Farmers Market. The market works with vendors to promote their business at competitive prices and is the only year-round farmer forward market in downtown Fort Wayne, which appealed to Michelle for her budding business.

There is no comparison in the freshness of the tea selections, but even if you can’t seem to find the flavor that speaks to you from the sixty to seventy different options available, Teajutsu is willing to create flavors highly requested by patrons. “There is usually a lot of trial and error that goes into coming up with something new (more of that, less of that, this was pretty good, ‘don't ever do that again,’ etc), and occasionally we even get it right the first time!

If tea isn’t meant for your cup, or you want something with a bit more of a caffeine kick, they’ve teamed up with Decadent coffee to provide flavored selections of ground and whole bean coffee alongside their teas and tea steepers.
